Hyderabad: Several well-known companies from around the world have come forward to execute the prestigious Musi riverfront development project conceptualized by the Telangana state government in Hyderabad. Representatives of prominent companies called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the secretariat on Tuesday.
During his recent visits to London and Dubai, the Prime Minister toured the Riverfront Project and held a special meeting in Dubai with representatives of a number of foreign companies, design, planning, architecture firms and consultancy professionals. Additionally, officials from the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Musi River Front Development Corporation are in talks with various companies. As part of the conference, representatives from MEINHARDT, Singapore, visited CM Revanth Reddy.
Company officials gave a power point presentation on project designs carried out in various countries and the model of project adopted for the development of Musi in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy proposed to the company representatives to design a model to suit the future needs of the city. The CM said the profile of Hyderabad city will change with the expansion of Outer Ring Road (ORR), Regional Ring Road (RRR) and upcoming expansion of railway lines around the city. He directed the companies to develop a development model along the Musi River in accordance with the expansion plan.
A Meinhard Group delegation led by CEO Omar Shahzad and Suresh Chandra met the Chief Minister. State Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, HMDA Joint Commissioner and Musi River Front Development Corporation MD Amrapali also participated in the meeting.
