Sofia Vergara’s recent interview didn’t go as expected, especially after the TV host appeared to anger the star.

Years after appearing on the hit series “Modern Family,” Sofia Vergara is returning to TV screens in the upcoming “Netflix” crime drama “Griselda.”

El Hormiguero host Pablo Motos apparently criticized the popular comedy’s pronunciation while promoting the show in Spain.

Despite their interaction, Vergara continued to thank the show for featuring her in an Instagram post.

Back in 2020, a video surfaced on X of DeGeneres criticizing Vergara’s accent during various appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Vergara retweeted the video and defended DeGeneres.

“Two comedians having fun entertaining each other.” she wrote. “I was never the victim. I was always joking.”

Vergara plays a darker role in “Griselda,” which tells the story of Griselda Blanco, a successful and dangerous drug queen who builds a lucrative cartel in Miami in the ’70s and ’80s.

The show is inspired by real events and Blanco’s real life that ultimately led to her assassination in September 2012. “Griselda” will be released on her January 25th.
