Sony Pictures acquires Chinese comedy ‘YOLO’ for global release

Sony Pictures has acquired the international distribution rights to the mainland Chinese comedy film “YOLO,” which will be released in China on Saturday, the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Sony has not yet announced its sales strategy for YOLO in North America or overseas. These may be affected by the situation in the coming days.

The film is one of eight titles to be released during China’s crowded but highly lucrative Lunar New Year holiday period, and one of the three front-runners to dominate the box office.
