The first finalist has been decided! Tonight, the first semi-final of Benidorm Fest 2024 took place at the Palau Desport Lira in Benidorm. During this first show, the first four participants of the final of Benidormfest 2024 will be selected, the winners of which will be given the chance to represent Spain. Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.

Nebrossa, Miss Cafena, Angie, Sophia Coll They have secured a spot in the final and will represent Spain at Eurovision 2024 after winning alongside the four teams selected in Thursday’s semi-final. The Grand Final of Benidormfest 2024 will be held on Saturday 3rd February on La 1 (TVE) and RTVE Play. .

Benidorm Fest 2024 Voting Mechanism
The voting system is similar to previous versions. Again, 50% of the judging is by professional judges (national and international). beatrice luengo will be the head of the jury and spokesperson for the points awarded to songs at Benidorm Fest 2024. Each member of the jury will allocate 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 points to the semi-finalists. The points received by each are added to the scoreboard.
The remaining 50% will be divided between 25% each for televoting and demoscopic voting. In case of a tie, the artist/author who receives the highest score from the expert judges will win.
These two voting divisions issue their own points. Each member of the demoscopic panel ranks their choices, and the public votes for their favorite candidate. In both cases, points are converted to weights and prorated as 40, 35, 30, 28, 25, 22, 20, 16 points.
