MADRID (AP) — Spain recorded 85.1 million international tourists last year, an increase of 19% from the previous year, the National Institute of Statistics said Friday.
The number of foreign tourists in 2023 exceeded the 83.5 million who visited Spain in 2019, the year before the coronavirus pandemic shut down most leisure travel.
