It has been confirmed that the sister of King Felipe of Spain has officially decided to divorce her husband following rumors of a previous affair.
Infanta Cristina, 58, and Iñaki Urdangarin, 56, finalized their divorce in December.
Hola! reports that the former couple signed the documents at a notary public office in Barcelona.
Their breakup was confirmed in January 2022, days after former handball player Iñaki was photographed holding hands with another woman.

The woman was later identified as a colleague of Mr. Iñaki from the law firm Ainoa Armentia, Imazu & Associados.
According to reports, Iñaki and Ainhoa now live together in an apartment in Vitoria, where Ainhoa works for a small construction company.
After 26 years together, Iñaki and Queen Cristina have officially ended their marriage.
The two first met during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and married on October 4, 1997 at Barcelona Cathedral.

The couple’s first child, Juan, was born in 1999. Daughters Pablo, Miguel, and Irene were born to her in 2000, 2002, and 2005, respectively.
In June 2018, Iñaki was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison for money laundering.

Although Princess Cristina was acquitted, King Felipe stripped her sister of her title as Duchess of Parma in 2015.
The news that Cristina’s divorce has been finalized was broken on Wednesday when King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the International Tourism Fair in Madrid.
Felipe looked dapper in a gray suit and red tie, while Letizia looked stunning in a black jumpsuit.
