Tauck has announced the resumption of its updated and enhanced seven-day Cuba: Cultural Journey journey, transporting passengers to Cuba for the first time in four years.
This itinerary starts from USD 6,490 per person for double occupancy and airfare and includes an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in Coral Gables, Florida, and the next day from Miami to Jose Marti International in Havana. Fly to the airport.
This is followed by a five-night stay in Havana at the Grand Aston La Habana, which serves as a base for Tauk guests to explore Havana and its suburbs while immersing themselves in Cuba’s history, culture and cuisine. Highlights include a walking tour through the city’s Old Havana (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and learning about Cuba’s famous cigars during a visit to a tobacco plantation in the Vinales Valley. Other adventures include visiting the Vintage American Cars Club and learning about this country’s iconic automobiles, and visiting the author Ernest Hemingway, who spent much of his life in Cuba from 1939 to his 1960. This includes a tour of his home.
The first six flights of Tauk’s “Cuba: A Cultural Journey” scheduled for fall 2024 are sold out. Departures in 2025 will run from January to April and October to December. A new journey in Namibia and Italy
In addition to returning to Cuba in 2024, Tauk will begin a new itinerary in 2024, the Namibia and Italy itinerary.
The new ‘Namibia: Epic Safari’ (11 days, from $11,990 per person, double occupancy, includes international airfare) begins with an overnight stay in Weinberg Windhoek, followed by a trip to Namibrand Nature Reserve, 2 nights stay in Swakopmund, Ongaba Game. Book before you finish his 2 night stay at Omanda Lodge.
Along the way, guests will enjoy nature walks in the Namib Desert with local Bushman guides, stargazing at Namibland Nature Reserve, and petting baby baboons at a wildlife sanctuary. Explore scenic Walvis Bay on a catamaran or hop aboard a sea kayak to experience Namibia’s iconic red-hued Sossusvlei sand dunes.
Tour price includes 5 flights, airport transfers, 28 meals, all game drives, sightseeing and other activities, luggage handling, and most tips during the tour. Tauk will operate 10 flights from April to October 2024.
With the addition of the new “Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Portofino Coast” itinerary (8 days, starting at $6,590 per person, double occupancy, airfare not included), Tauck is increasing its Italy travel portfolio to 20 trips. The itinerary begins with his two nights at the Helvetia & Bristol in Florence, two nights at the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena, one night at the Grand Universe in Lucca and ends with two nights at the Imperiale in Santa Margherita Ligure.
