Thai Prime Minister Sureta Thavisin has announced that Taylor Swift’s exclusive contract with Singapore restricts her from performing in other parts of the ASEAN region, so she will not be able to tour Thailand. clarified that it will not take place.

The announcement was made during a business event in Bangkok, where Tavisin said he was informed of the agreement by event promoter AEG and expressed disappointment with the situation. He said the Singapore government offered a large sum of money, estimated at $2 million to $3 million per show, in exchange for exclusivity.

Thabisin highlighted the potential benefits of hosting a Swift concert in Thailand, citing the potential to attract more sponsors and tourists to the country. He pointed out that holding an event in Thailand is more cost-effective compared to Singapore.

Despite efforts to bring more A-list artists to Thailand later this year, Thabisin admitted that organizing concerts of this scale is difficult. He said the Thai government is considering alternatives to cover Swift’s absence from the tour.

Taylor Swift’s Elas Tour was her sixth concert tour spanning 10 albums and garnered a lot of attention. It has been hailed as the highest-grossing tour of all time, with 151 performances on five continents and more than $1 billion in box office revenue.
