Russell Crowe will be the guest on the third night of the Sanremo Festival. “Il Gladiatore” will be performing on stage at Alliston with his band “Russell Crowe and the Gentlemen Barbers.”

Russell gave up his roles as Massimo Decimo Meridio in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator,” mathematician John Nash in “A Beautiful Mind,” and boxer James J. Braddock in “Cinderella Man.” accepted the role. He took his guitar and toured all over the world with his band.

My first record came out in 1982, long before I started making movies.
Music has always been in my life. My first record came out when I was 17 years old.
When asked what he did for a living before movies changed his life, he answered that he was a musician.
I’ve been working in film for 35 years, but I’ve been working in music for 40 years.

I have always been drawn to Italy, especially since I found out that my ancestors were Italian.
During my travels throughout Italy, I realized how strong this connection is and how a huge blood bond is created.

My exploration of Italy has only just begun. Last year we toured Puglia for a long time, and this year after the tour we will also get to know other cities.

It’s fluid – Russell Crowe comments – it’s like a festival that brings together artists, musicians and storytellers that I admire to put on shows. ‘The idea was born in a pub on the outskirts of London in 2009, and it’s been around ever since. With this extraordinary setting, Crowe puts his gentlemen Barbers at the forefront. “We revisit some of the greatest successes in music history,” Crowe continues, “bringing iconic songs into the modern era through new arrangements and offering the public a truly extraordinary experience.”

My film journey begins with performing, touring, and releasing records. This work introduced me to musical theater (‘Grease,’ ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ ‘Blood Brothers’). Then, miraculously, a director saw me acting in Blood Brothers and asked me to audition. ”

Russell Crowe will sing tonight let the light shine Great feat. Marcia Hines.
