Thieves steal $161,000 worth of equipment from Belgian landscaper

A landscaper in Belgium, Wisconsin, said $161,000 worth of equipment was stolen, and the entire incident was caught on camera. Surveillance video shows the thieves drive away in a flatbed pickup truck, trailer and skid steer. The incident occurred at Nate’s lawn maintenance. “It’s disappointing. I feel a little bit violated,” said Nathan Cohn, owner of Nate’s Lawn Maintenance. “We are not going to tolerate this type of theft in our yards or on client property where our equipment is stored,” Cohn told 12 News.The truck was located in Naperville, Illinois. He said it was discovered. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office said it is in the process of returning it to him. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office said a stolen 2023 D&K gooseneck-style trailer and a 2023 Caterpillar compact track loader were also believed to have been transported out of state to Illinois, but have not been recovered. So far, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 262-284-7172.

It happened on February 2nd at Nate’s Lawn Maintenance.

“It’s disappointing. I feel a little bit violated,” said Nathan Cohn, owner of Nate’s Lawn Maintenance. “We will not tolerate this type of theft – theft in our gardens or on client premises where our equipment is stored.”

Cohn told 12 News the truck was found in Naperville, Illinois. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office said it is in the process of returning it to him.
