ROME (AP) — Atalanta continued its good form, scoring three goals in the first 15 minutes en route to a 5-0 victory over Frosinone in Serie A on Monday.
With this victory, the Bergamo club has won four consecutive home games and has moved up three places to fifth place.
Dutch striker Teun Koopmeiners scored the opening goal from the penalty spot eight minutes later.
Five minutes later Ederson doubled the lead with a clean half-volley, and just 60 seconds later Charles de Ketelaer scored the third goal with a left-footed effort that hit the underside of the bar.
Substitute Davide Zappacosta scored the fourth goal with six minutes remaining after a quick counter-attack, and Emil Holm added the fifth in the 90th minute.
The defeat threatened to increase the pressure on Frosinone coach Eusebio Di Francesco.
It was Frosinone’s fifth consecutive loss and fourth consecutive loss of three or more goals.
They have taken just one point from 18 points since the end of November and are one of only three teams in Serie A yet to win away from home.
They currently sit 15th in the league, two points above the relegation zone.
Inter Milan are in first place with a five-point difference over Juventus, who have a game in hand.
