Former TJPW Princess of Princess Champion Mizuki will return to Singapore for SPW’s Champions Never Yield 2 show in January 2024.
Singapore Pro Wrestling announced on Twitter the lineup for the Champions Never Yield 2 event to be held on January 19, 2024. To the surprise of some fans, the match card included Tokyo Women’s Pro Wrestling’s Mizuki. SPW announced that she will face Southeast Asian women’s wrestling pioneer Alexis Lee.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, SPW added that the winner of the match between Alexis Lee and Mizuki will become the number one contender for the SPW Asian Queen Championship, which is currently held by Yuki Kamifuku, also of TJPW. Yuuki won the belt by defeating former champion Alexis Lee at SPW’s Viva La Lucha show last November. Since winning her title, Yuuki successfully defended the Asian Queen Championship against Vietnamese-American wrestler Viva Van at TJPW’s Korakuen Hall performance.
In Singapore, women’s action took place at the Bushiroad Asia Expo hosted by Stardom last November. AZM, Mei Seira, Thekla, Mina Shirakawa, Lady C, Hazuki and others participated in the company’s visit to Lion City.
Mizuki’s last SPW appearance
Mizuki has only wrestled once in Singapore, his last appearance being in 2018. There, she teamed up with The Horrors (Da Butcherman, Dr. Gore) to face Reika Saiki and Onslaught (Trexus, Andrew Tan) on SPW’s Ladies Night Show.
