Italian Kitchen produces more than 60,000 pieces each December.
Italian Kitchen produced more than 60,000 meatballs in December. That’s more than half of the meatballs for every 106,000 Brockton residents. It’s a fourth-generation Brockton tradition. And from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, they go all in, said Jeremy Jamouris, chief operating officer of Main Street Main Street. “Crank out” is not a figure of speech. Italian Kitchen employees still hand-grind and spice certified Angus beef and pork.

Bridgewater recovers 2-year-old from rare anemia
Two-year-old Kit Murdock is just like any other toddler in Bridgewater. She loves books, music, dance, her classes, and fooling around with her five-year-old sister Lucy and her parents, Molly and Sam, and her Murdoch. But unlike most infants, Kit requires monthly blood transfusions to survive. According to Kit’s care team at Boston Children’s Hospital, Kit was diagnosed with Diamond-Blackfan anemia, a rare blood disorder that occurs when her bone marrow is unable to make red blood cells, when she was just three months old. That’s what it means. Every Thanksgiving, members of the Bridgewater community line up at a blood drive hosted by Kitt’s family and donate blood in honor of her fellow children.
