MANILA — Uratex’s 3×3 team will kick off 2024 by competing in the Jumpshot 3×3 International Tournament in Singapore this weekend.
Uratex Dream and Uratex Tibay will be at Bukit Panjang Plaza for this event.
Kay Pingol will spearhead the Dream side, working with Sam Harada, Mikka Kacho, and Younique Chan.
Tibay, on the other hand, will rely on Shanda Agnes, Ma. Cecilia Junsay, April Ciatt, Ford Grajales.
The Singapore Tilt comes as part of Uratex Club’s build-up for Manila Hustle 3×3 Season 2 in February.
Tibay will face Singapore’s BAS Women’s A and J3, South Korea’s Dinoman Hansol and Japan’s Yokohama G-Flo in Pool A. Meanwhile, Dream was selected in Pool B along with Singapore’s BAS Women’s B and Regina, Thailand’s CT Tigers and Malaysia’s Rising Stars.
Other Filipino players will also play for other teams as import players, with Alana Lim joining J3 and Julia Mae Barroquillo joining from Regina.
Only the top two teams will advance to the semifinals and have a chance to win $4,000 in prize money.
Meanwhile, TNT Triple Giga consists of Samboy de Leon, Matt Salem, Ray Tellen, and Zyrus Torres. On the men’s side, Kabayan Pilipinas, consisting of David Carlos, Kurt Joshua Jangoy, Eldridge Okana, and Thiha Tin of Myanmar, will carry the national flag.
