Use points to travel to Europe with Singapore Airlines: 30% off on business class benefits

Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes is offering a 30% discount on round-trip award ticket bookings from New York JFK to Frankfurt. Book your February trip by January 31st.

What’s special about this is that there’s plenty of award space available throughout the month, and it’s not just one or two seats, it’s the majority of the cabin. These planes must be empty, which is not surprising for a premium cabin in the winter between North America and Europe. Also because many people forget that there are better airlines available across the pond like Singapore.

Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer is charging 56,700 miles each way with this promotion. I’ve been writing this almost every day in February, so it looks like I’ll be able to get it.

This calendar shows the dates when you can use your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles to earn (2) or more business class benefits. Chase, Citibank, American Express, and Capital One points transfer to Singapore, and in my recent experience, Membership Rewards points transfer instantly.

I have a lot of dates with Over 9 business class benefits available it is an even number Can be booked using Air Canada Aeroplan miles 60,000 points one way. Chase, Amex, Capital One, and Bilt points transfer to Aeroplan. In fact, that’s the strategy I prefer, as the points expiry policy is much better (it’s easy to extend the validity of your Aeroplan miles in case you need to change your plan later However, Singapore Miles have a strict expiration date).
