Actor Varun Tej met Lavanya Tripathi on the sets of ‘Mr.’ in 2017 and they got married in Italy in November 2023. While promoting his new film Operation Valentine, Varun spoke on Zoom about why it was important for him to get married abroad rather than in India. “I wanted my parents to have fun.”
In an interview, Varun said that he watched his cousins get married, that weddings usually involve thousands of people, and that his parents never had a chance to relax or have fun. . “My cousins had more fun than me at the wedding, but our families are close-knit and we had a great time together,” he added. “It took me seven years (after I met my girlfriend) to get married. I wanted my family to have fun. “Normally, my family’s weddings have 4,000 to 10,000 people invited; We only invited 100 people and it was important to me that my family had fun, so I took everyone abroad.”
“I didn’t give her anything on V-Day.”
It might be Varun and Lavanya’s first Valentine’s Day after their fairytale wedding, but Varun revealed at another promotional event that the two did not receive any gifts from each other. He said this while talking to anchor Suma and students of Mala Reddy Engineering College for Women, Hyderabad. When I was a student, I often did this and received presents from many people. But now it is different. I went to Kashmir instead for a short vacation,” he said.
Future work
Varun plays an IAF officer in Operation Valentine while Manushi Chhillar plays a radar officer. The film’s first single ‘Vande Mataram’ was released in Wagah Border. Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh, the film marks Varun’s debut in Bollywood and Manushi’s debut in Tollywood. The film is scheduled to release on March 1 and he will also be seen in Karuna Kumar’s next film ‘Matka’ along with co-star Meenakshi Chaudhary.
