According to a report from Daimler Buses, Italian bus companies Autostradale and Stee have delivered a total of 30 Mercedes-Benz Turimo M/2 touring coaches. 25 of the vehicles were sent to Autostradale and 5 to Stie.

The new high-deck tourist bus will be used for Gran Turimo’s long-distance services, with the aim of improving connections between major cities such as Milan and airports in northern Italy and contributing to the revitalization of regional tourism.
The Tourismo M/2 comes standard with a 10.7 L Mercedes-Benz OM 470 6-cylinder in-line engine rated at 265 kW and 1,700 Nm of torque. Each vehicle, approximately 13 meters long, has 16 rows and can accommodate 59 passengers. The bus company has added a wheelchair lift to allow passengers with disabilities to use the bus.
The 30 Turimo coaches will be used to provide connecting and transit routes to airports in northern Italy, helping to meet the high demands and quality consciousness of domestic and international travellers.

The two bus companies have also signed a six-year Omniplus full-service agreement with Daimler Bus Italia’s aftersales organization to ensure that new buses in the long-distance bus fleet are always in optimal condition.
