Why do Europeans move to Spain? This is the question Euro Weekly News is asking many people who currently live here and come from all over Europe.
This week, EWN caught up with Samantha Kay. Although she is originally from Ireland, she has lived all over the world including Scotland, Romania, Cyprus, Australia and now Spain’s Sunshine Coast, where she rents her property in Manilva, Malaga.
First we asked Samantha why she chose this location so close to Puerto de Duquesa. “Well, I love Spain. I feel like my soul was here in another life or something. And I already have close friends living here. I’m a traditional I like the atmosphere of Spain, so Manilva in particular caught my eye.”
EWN, who has only been here for six months, wanted to know how her Spanish was improving. She said, “Actually, she’s doing really well. She has a boyfriend coming soon so she’s expecting me to teach her then, but I don’t know if she’s at that level yet!? ”
Finally, we asked the Irish beauty about her future plans on the Costa del Sol. She answered: “Have fun. As we say here, ‘manyana’, I didn’t come here to work hard or be stressed.” We came here to learn about this beautiful land and drink sangria in the sun. Vibes.”
Indeed, we might have to join her too!
