Must read

Denmark’s Ministry of Defense announced on January 24 that it has allocated 91 million Danish kroner ($13.3 million) to projects supporting the cybersecurity and cyber defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense.

The aid package will be provided under the auspices of the Estonia-Luxembourg-led Ukraine IT Coalition, in which Denmark is also a member, among other countries.

“This support is an important contribution to long-term support for strengthening Ukraine’s cyber defense,” said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

“Since the invasion began, Denmark has made significant contributions to Ukraine’s fight for freedom, including in cyberspace. We have repeatedly made donations to support Ukraine’s cyber defense and critical IT infrastructure. ”

Denmark, Estonia and Luxembourg have so far donated funds to the Ukrainian IT Coalition. The union includes Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands.

Ukraine and 10 partner countries also established the Tallinn Mechanism on Cybersecurity on December 20, 2023 to protect Ukraine from cyber threats.

Denmark, along with the Netherlands and the United States, is leading a coalition to provide F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

In early January, the country announced a new $21.9 million funding plan to rebuild Mykolaiv.
