Yulin, China, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) – Finland defeated Slovakia 5-4 to win the Yulin Tourism Investment Futsal Tournament, winning the championship for the third consecutive time on Sunday in Yulin, northwestern China’s Shaanxi Province.
The game was tied 4-4 with one minute left. Slovakia, aiming for victory, sent a team without a goalkeeper, but Oli Poiriau’s four-second lob ensured Finland’s victory.
“It was a really tough game, but when we tied the score at 4-4, we knew how to prevent the opponent’s goalkeeper from flying in. I’m very happy to win this trophy,” Poiriau said.
