Finland’s Ministry of Defense announced on February 9 that it had approved the 22nd defense aid package for Ukraine worth approximately 190 million euros ($205 million).

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkanen said: “Nationally, we need new ways to support Ukraine more broadly and in the long term. We are currently preparing a long-term plan to support Ukraine.” .

“Domestic industry has a lot of know-how, and we are working in the defense administration to make sure that this know-how and capabilities can be more effectively utilized in supporting Ukraine as well. One example is domestic ammunition.”Production. “

Finland also decided to participate in artillery and demining operations, one of the many allied efforts launched under the Ukrainian Defense Liaison Group to support the branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Prior to this, Finland approved the 21st military aid package for Ukraine worth 106 million euros ($114 million) in December 2023.
