Mr Tierney added: “Welsh red is not only traditional, it’s part of our culture. With all this in mind, we look forward to seeing how we can overcome this issue as we head into next year. Perhaps more creative use of colors as well as kit design should be considered.

“We are disappointed that we have not reached a solution that satisfies everything this season, but we can confirm that we are fully committed to fixing it in the next kit cycle.”
