Police in New York are investigating the death of a 39-year-old Singaporean woman who allegedly lost her footing and fell 70 feet while taking photos on the edge of a cliff. Her husband, on the other hand, says he wishes he had fallen instead of her.
Dr. Noor Aisha Binte and Dr. Akbar were on vacation from Singapore on Dec. 22, when they were hiking along the Beacon Hill Trail in Minnewaska State Park (about 160 miles north of New York City), where they saw cliffs. I stopped at the edge to take a photo. This was announced by the New York State Police.
Police said Akbar lost his footing and fell about 70 feet off a cliff. Her husband, Abdul Rauf bin Mohd Said, 41, called 911. State police troopers were called to the scene, and Akbar was pulled out by helicopter.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said, adding that the incident remains under investigation.

Details of my husband’s accident
Mr Sai detailed the accident on social media and thanked his three sisters who were hiking nearby for helping his wife in her final moments.
The accident occurred when the couple “found a perfect spot in the park to sit, take photos and discuss their next goal,” Saeed said, adding that the temperature was almost 32 degrees and the couple were on the ground and rocks. added that there was ice. It becomes very slippery.
Saeed was recording a video of his wife talking about the beauty of the park when she slipped and fell off a cliff.
“Right after Aiz fell off the cliff, I rushed forward and slipped but didn’t fall off the cliff (trust me, I wish it had been me),” Saeed wrote on Facebook. “I cried out from the bottom of my heart for help. My three sisters heard my screams and rushed to my place along with my father and aunt.”
Saeed said the sisters walked to the spot where Akbar collapsed, told him he was still alive and gave him a coat to keep him warm until rescuers and medical workers arrived. That’s what it means.
“The sisters said Ice told them his name, that he had two dogs, and that he really wanted some sweet tea,” he wrote. “One of the rangers who was with her said the same thing, and she thanked them over and over again… Even in the most eventful moments, she wanted to make sure those around her were appreciated.” I was still thinking about checking it out.”
Saeed shared a shaky video that partially shows his wife being rescued by her sisters.
“Thank you! You’re still alive!?” he cries, then cries. The woman replies, “Yes.”
In another video shared by Saeed, he speaks to his three sisters and details what happened when his wife arrived home.
“She didn’t feel any pain for a while,” one of the sisters says. “She couldn’t feel much. But at the very end she started to feel a little pain in her lower back. She said her hands were cold but the rest of her body was warm. So I We were holding her hand and putting our hands on hers.”Putting our hands on hers. ”
“I should have been there,” she said, crying.
My wife was not breathing when we evacuated.
While his wife was being evacuated about three hours after the fall, Saeed said paramedics told her she was no longer breathing.
“I am broken,” he wrote. “We rushed to the nearest hospital, where she did not survive and was pronounced dead.”
Said said the rescue operation took about three hours as authorities had to cut down trees to evacuate by helicopter. Additionally, the terrain was difficult with slippery rocks. Saeed tried to go down to where Akbar had fallen, but he continued to slide and injured his right wrist in the process, he said.
Mr Saeed said Mr Akbar’s body was repatriated to Singapore after the necessary legal formalities were completed and arrived there on Wednesday morning. The funeral and last rites will be held at the couple’s home in Singapore.
In a message to his wife, Saeed concluded his Facebook post by saying, “I wish I could have been physically present in your final moments, but that was not my intention.” wrote. “I’m sorry I’m gone. Please forgive me and wait for me. I miss you all and I love you.”
