Knock Ireland West Airport this week announced that the airport will experience strong growth with 818,000 passengers in 2023.
The airport currently serves approximately 21 international destinations and is making significant progress in expanding its portfolio.

Ireland West Airport at Knock will handle 818,000 passengers in 2023…
Passenger numbers were 818,000, an increase of 13% compared to 2022, of which 665,000 were on flights to the UK.
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will have 730,000 passengers from its airports in 2023, in what is said to be a record year for departures from its airports.
148,000 passengers traveled to popular destinations including:
- Alicante
- Barcelona
- Faro
- mallorca
- malaga
- milan
- cologne
- Lanzarote
- tenerife island
Commenting on the results, Knock West Ireland Airport Chairman Arthur French said:
“We are pleased to see such a strong recovery in passenger travel in 2023, resulting in a record year for airports. This is great news for tourism and job creation both at airports and across the economy.”

“We are launching new services with Ryanair to both Lanzarote and Tenerife, and for the first time with Aer Lingus we are launching a new daily service to London Heathrow, one of Europe’s major international airport hubs. I would like to thank Minister Eamon Ryan, Secretary of State Jack Chambers and Government representatives for their continued support of the airport.”
“We also thank our customers, airline and tour operator partners, stakeholders, tourism organizations and local government partners for their continued support in supporting the continued growth in passenger numbers and the development of international connectivity for the region. I would like to express my thoughts.”

“We will continue to work with our stakeholders and aviation partners over the next 12 months as we continue to invest in our airport transformation program and seek to further expand our range of routes from the airport.”
