St. Louis City SC has acquired Danish left-back Nicolas Dier from current Danish Superliga leaders FC Midtjylland for an undisclosed fee pending his P-1 visa and International Trade Certificate (ITC). obtained. Dyer has signed a three-year contract with a club option until 2027.

Dill quickly rose through the ranks at both club and youth international level. Horsens, a native of Denmark, played the majority of his club matches for Danish multi-Superliga champions, Champions League participants and Europa League participants FC Midtjylland. He led the team to one regular season title (Danish Champion) and two cup titles (Danish Cup Winner). He has played 103 games for FC Midtjylland, scoring three goals and providing eight assists, including his first senior professional goal in the 2021/22 Europa League competition.
On the national team side, Dyhr started for Denmark’s Under-16s and quickly distinguished himself. He made 10 appearances and scored one goal at Under-16 level, before being called up to the Under-17 squad for the 2017-18 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification. Dier helped Denmark’s Under-17s backline consolidate to three clean sheets and a 4-1-1 record in qualifying, before scoring in the group stage. He made 14 appearances between the U-18 and U-19 teams before reaching U-21 level.
For the Under-21 team, Dier started two games in the 2021-22 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifiers and finished with a 1-0-1 record. Although he did not start in the second play-off leg against Croatia Under-21s, he came on as a substitute in the penalty shootout and scored the first shot of the penalty round.
