For better traction and braking, make sure your tires have a minimum tread depth of more than 1.6 mm and maintain proper inflation pressure.
wipers and lights
Worn wipers and dim light bulbs can be a safety hazard, so it’s important to inspect and replace them when necessary.
Use of air conditioner
You may not think it’s necessary at this time of year, but running the air conditioner will remove moisture and help clean your windshield faster.

Do not leave your car idle for long periods of time. A 30-minute drive each week will rejuvenate your battery and reduce moisture build-up.
emergency kit
Carzone says all drivers in Ireland should have an emergency kit in their car.
Includes an ice scraper, extra light bulbs, and small bottles of coolant and screen wash. Don’t forget your cell phone charger, high visibility vest, and tow rope.
