Must read

Denmark has launched a new Green Fuels Alliance in India, aiming to strengthen cooperation on sustainable energy between the two countries.

Led by the Embassy of Denmark and the Consulate General of Denmark in India, nine Danish organizations have already committed to join the alliance, which will work to advance green fuels such as green hydrogen.

Freddie Sveen, Ambassador of Denmark to India, said: “Danish companies are bringing their skills to the green transition around the world. We are pleased to see a special commitment to stimulate India’s green development efforts through the Green Strategic Partnership.

“Green Fuels Alliance India is advancing efforts in the energy transition. May our collective contribution be meaningful and inspiring.”

Part of the partnership effort, which Denmark said was inspired by previous efforts such as the India-Denmark Energy Partnership, will include a steering committee of Danish companies and an advisory board of industry experts.

Founding members of the partnership include Hydrogen Denmark, Umwelt Energy and Danish shipping giant Maersk, and India has excellent conditions for renewable energy production, helping to improve the availability of green fuels. He says it can be done.

Furthermore, Tejs Lausten Jensen, CEO of Hydrogen Denmark, said: “This partnership represents a strong partnership between nations, bridging expertise and resources to accelerate the deployment of green energy solutions to power tomorrow’s society.

“This is an important topic, and India and Denmark have a lot to gain from each other, and as both world frontrunners, we especially have a lot to contribute to global decarbonization efforts. ”

Many shipping companies are putting sustainability at the forefront of their plans, but the availability and price of alternative green fuels remains a barrier to uptake.
