A new snowstorm is expected to reach Finland on Wednesday night, causing difficult driving conditions on Thursday and Friday, according to forecasts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning of dangerous driving conditions in the south-west on Wednesday night.

Traffic conditions in the southern region are expected to deteriorate significantly around midnight Wednesday.

On Thursday, FMI significantly expanded its warning for “potentially dangerous” road conditions in most parts of the country, and issued a “dangerous” warning in the south.

A snowstorm is expected to spread to the southern and central regions on Thursday.

The heaviest snowfall will be in the southern region, where 5 to 10 centimeters of fresh snow is expected. According to FMI, other areas are also expected to receive around 5 centimeters of fresh snow.
