All seven competing entries have been released ahead of Finland’s Eurovision pre-selection ‘Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu’ (‘UMK’) which will be held in February.
At the beginning of January, Finnish broadcaster YLE provided us with a name to get us excited. We have songs you’ll want to listen to on repeat!
On Saturday February 10th, a one-night pre-selection event will be held at the Nokia Arena in Tampere to determine Finland’s place in the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.in UMKSeven songs will compete for the honor of raising the Finnish flag in 2024.
Finland’s entry into the Eurovision Song Contest in May follows a memorable performance by the Nordic nation at the competition in Liverpool in 2023. There, Kariya led her country to runner-up place in the grand final, the second-best result for Finland in the history of the contest.
However, broadcaster YLE has lined up a great group of artists to succeed him. Each of them has already built a successful music career in their native Finland.

When UMK returns to our screens for one night on Saturday, February 10, it will be hosted by Benjamin Peltonen, Pirvi Hämäläinen and Vivi Punpanen.
The program will be broadcast live on Yle TV1, Yle Arena and Yle radio channels. During the live broadcast, Finnish citizens can vote for their favorite song. Each entry will be scored by an international jury of industry experts from the seven Eurovision countries. The public vote accounts for 75% of his final score, and the panel accounts for the remaining 25%.
The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malmö, Sweden, on Tuesday 7 May 2024 (first semi-final), Thursday 9 May (second semi-final) and Saturday 11 May 2024 (grand final).
