Beontag, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesives and smart tags, has opened a new global research and development center in Tampere, Finland.
The new facility will employ 50 people and is expected to increase its workforce by up to 20% with a focus on engineering and research and development roles.
Ricardo Lobo, CEO of Beontag, said: As we continue to meet the existing and emerging needs of customers around the world, our success depends on our unwavering commitment to innovation, best-in-class facilities, top-quality equipment, and a truly great team. I’m grateful to have found all that and more here in Tampere, Finland. ”
The center hosts a pilot factory to develop innovative products such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags.
In December 2023, Beontag invested more than $60 million in its U.S. manufacturing facility. The new facility will be located on a 200,000 square foot campus in Dayton, Ohio and is expected to create 200 new jobs in the area.
