Calvin Nash is one of the new faces in the Ireland national team, having recently made his debut at Test level and in the Six Nations.
The Munster winger earned his first Green cap in a warm-up game against Italy ahead of last year’s Rugby World Cup, before being selected for Andy Farrell’s Six Nations squad.

Nash made his dream debut in the tournament, scoring a try in Ireland’s easy victory over France in Marseille and adding another in a 36-0 victory over Italy.

1. Nash was born in August. 8, 1997, in Limerick, Ireland, attended Crescent College General.
2. He played for Growing Young Munster before making his full debut for the club in a professional 14 game against Edinburgh in February 2017.
3. Scored his first try in the province in Munster’s 36-19 victory over Zebre in November 2017.
4. Nash made his Champions Cup debut in January 2020 against the Ospreys.
5. His most prolific season in Munster colors to date was in 2022-23, scoring seven tries in 17 starts as Munster closed out the United Rugby Championship title.

6. In total, participating in the 2024 Six Nations, he made 66 appearances for Munster and scored 90 points.
7. Internationally, Nash represented Ireland at U18 school level, U19 and U20. At the World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia, he scored two tries for Ireland against Italy and one against Samoa.
8. He was selected in Ireland’s training squad ahead of the 2023 World Cup and earned his first senior cap from the bench in a 33–17 win over Italy in a warm-up match before being released.
9. Nash was subsequently selected for Ireland’s 2024 Six Nations squad and was named in the starting XI for the tournament’s opening game against France.
In an article with times, Nash recalled the questions that came to mind before that epic showdown. “I was thinking, ‘You don’t have any international experience!’ And you’re literally playing against one of the best teams in the world. It popped into my head.”
10. Despite his concerns, Nash scored a try on his debut against France at Marseille’s Orange Velodrome. He then retained his place in the starting lineup for Ireland’s second game against Italy, scoring a touchdown in the 78th minute and making 2 of 2 tries.
