  • – Lieutenant Seetiger Amusan: Aloysius Johnson, from Navansurai, Jaffna.

  • – Lieutenant Seetiger Nararasan: Sivagunanasundaram Ramesh from Kolombhurai, Jaffna.

At the event, the Tamil Eelam flag was hoisted, flowers were laid and candles were lit to commemorate Colonel Kittu’s sacrifice. Colonel Kittu rose to prominence as the LTTE’s Jaffna commander from 1985 to 1987 and was based in the Padvankarai area during the first phase of the armed conflict. He was later appointed as the LTTE’s international secretary general in London and was returning from the UK when his ship was seized.
