New Delhi : Denmark and India launched Green Fuel Alliance India (GFAI)is a cooperative initiative aimed at strengthening joint efforts between the two countries in the field of sustainable energy, in line with the two countries’ shared global commitment to carbon neutrality.
Led by the Danish Embassy and Consulate General of Denmark in India, The partnership focuses on advancing the green fuel sector, in particular green hydrogen, by fostering innovation, cooperation and partnership between Danish and Indian industry.
GFAI’s main goal is to advance India’s sustainable energy development by creating an ecosystem that fosters collaboration between businesses, government agencies, research institutes, and financial stakeholders from both countries. 9 major Danish organizations including MaerskTopsaw and Danfoss have already pledged their commitment as founding members to the GFAI Advisory Board, which includes organizations such as the Hydrogen Alliance of India and the Danish Energy Agency.
The announcement comes at the same time as India’s ambitious efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2070, and Denmark, which ranks first in the 2024 global climate performance rankings, aims to become carbon neutral by 2050. is planned to be achieved.
