Annual General Meeting of the largest Ukrainian organization in Denmark, Lastivka, was held. Representatives from all local chapters attended the meeting.
“Meeting participants discussed the results and accomplishments of their collaborative efforts over the past year, held elections for president, vice president, and board of directors, and expressed recognition and gratitude to the active chapters of the association. Lesja Ryhalska was elected as the new chair of the organization, and Maria Padowska was elected vice-chair. “I wish the new board team every success and creativity,” Ghez wrote.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark Andriy Yanevsky and Bodan Kost, First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark, also attended the general meeting.
“Lastivka is the largest Ukrainian organization in Denmark, with more than 1,000 registered members who have shaped the history of Ukraine in Denmark from 2012 to the present,” Ghez said.
The organization is made up of 11 regional branches, establishes and coordinates schools in Ukraine, develops its own soccer and volleyball clubs in Denmark, cooperates with the scouting organization Plast, and organizes the Ukrainian World Congress. It is also a component.
Lastivka It is active in the educational, cultural, information and humanitarian fields and cooperates with the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark to promote Ukraine’s achievements, especially in culture and art.
