Dutch consultancy Flux Partners has expanded into Northern Europe, opening its first international office in Copenhagen.
Founded in 2014, Flux Partners is a procurement consulting firm that supports clients in topics such as tender management, procurement function transformation, project management (commercial and project management), and contract management. The company primarily works with customers in the infrastructure, construction and energy sectors.
Michel Verlaan, managing partner at Flux Partners, said international expansion had always been an ambition for the company. Having established a leading presence in the domestic market (100 staff) over the past decade, the company is now ready to embark on its next chapter.
The decision to expand into Northern Europe is based on the company’s strong track record in the renewable energy sector, which offers significant commercial opportunities for expansion and influence.
“Our expansion into the Nordics represents a strategic step in our international growth agenda and our commitment to renewable energy. With our new location in Copenhagen, we are expanding our focus on renewable energy, particularly offshore wind and other onshore and one of the world’s key hubs for offshore renewable energy infrastructure,” said Ferlaan.
Flux Partners works with various players in the renewable energy sector, including energy groups, utilities, transmission system operators, governments, and players involved in the delivery phase such as builders, contractors and technology providers. Prominent Nordic clients that the company already serves include Ørsted (Denmark) and Vattenfall (Sweden).
The new hub will be led by Asbjörn Dalgaard, who brings extensive experience in the renewable energy sector to his new role. For the past eight years he has worked as a Senior Renewable Energy Adviser to the UK Government, focusing on the UK renewable energy sector and international investment promotion.
In this role he has led major energy and green energy projects across the UK and Nordic region. “Asbjorn’s expertise in sustainable energy solutions and deep understanding of the Nordic market make him the ideal leader for our expansion,” said Ferlaan.
Mr. Dalgaard commented on his new challenge as follows: “Nordic is at the forefront of renewable energy innovation and I am excited to lead a team that is as passionate about sustainability as I am. Our Copenhagen office will serve as a hub for cutting-edge solutions. It will also be a gathering place for talent from the Nordic and Baltic countries, including native speakers from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the Baltic countries.”
