The winger has made 13 appearances for Norwich City this season, but only started once, so the Canaries are happy to allow him to spend time on loan at League One side Northampton.
Springett was a teenager when he made three Premier League appearances for Norwich in 2021/22.
“Tony is an exciting, attacking player who can play wide positions,” manager John Brady said.

“He has played in and out of the team for Norwich over the last few seasons and played a few times for Derby last season. He has a good pedigree and will add depth to our squad in attacking positions. I’ll give it to you.
“He has experience of playing in the Premier League, Championship and League One, has a good pedigree and great ability and we believe he will fit well in the great dressing room we have here.”
Meanwhile, two further Imps players have arrived at Drogheda on loan due to the relationship between Drogheda United and Lincoln City.
Defender Hayden Cann and midfielder Oisin Gallagher will join Kevin Doherty’s side on loan until the summer.
Lincoln’s Freddie Draper and Sean Rowan enjoyed successful loans to United last season.
“Oisin is someone I knew through Ireland’s youth teams and got to know even more through Lincoln,” he said.
“He’s a strong midfielder and the type of player we were keen to sign. I’ve watched a number of his games on loan for Peterborough Sport and I’ve been really impressed.” says Dougherty.
“Hayden is a really dominant centre-back and he excelled during his last loan spell. He is very comfortable playing in a back three or as one of a back two.
“We wanted to have some flexibility in how we play. We have two really good players, two good players overall. We have a goal threat from both of those guys, so we’re going to have some flexibility in how we play.” That’s great,” Doherty said.
“Their attitude, they both really wanted to go and obviously did their own homework on us and spoke to the four players who were here before.
“Just look at Lincoln at the weekend. Freddie Draper and Sean Rowan are both starting and I’m sure they’re going to go down a similar path.”
