Super Eagles midfielder Izuna Uzochukwu, who was deported from Denmark, has returned to the Scandinavian country and is making another attempt to get his residence permit back.
The FC Eveday product faced Nesby’s U19 team in a test game for B 1909 on Saturday, Bold.dk reports citing Sport Fyn.
Since 2018, former FC Midtjylland and graduate player Uzczuk has been fighting to regain his Danish residence permit, which was revoked when he moved to Chinese club MZ Hakka.
Uzochukwu has a girlfriend and a daughter in Denmark, so he returned to China after being in China and filed a lawsuit against him for deportation.
However, in December this was refused and despite his close ties with Denmark, he had to pack his bags.
Uzochukwu has not given up on obtaining a residence permit, and his lawyer is currently preparing the documents.
The 33-year-old made a total of 201 appearances in the Danish Superliga between 2009 and 2018, and apart from the aforementioned teams, he has also donned the colors of Ålesund and Amkar Perm in the past.
