Mark Cleffen has been appointed as the new head of corporate finance at EY UK and Ireland. He has been working for the company for over 20 years.

Sylvia Lindon, UK and Ireland Managing Partner, Strategy and Transactions at EY, said: “Mark brings a combination of sector and regional experience to the role of a corporate finance leader who has worked with PE mid-market clients and entrepreneurial businesses across the private markets. I look forward to working with them to help shape the future direction of their UK and Ireland corporate finance teams and wider strategic and trading business.”

Clefan joined EY in 2001 and is an M&A partner based in EY’s Manchester office, where he leads the firm’s corporate finance team in the North of England. He brings to his new role his 25 years of experience working with a variety of private equity houses, public and private companies, as well as many entrepreneurs.

Commenting on his promotion, Mr. Klephan added, “I am excited to lead the Corporate Finance team into its next phase of evolution, building on the strong platform established by Fraser’s leadership.”

He takes over the role from Fraser Greenshields, who led the corporate finance team for seven years. Greenshields will return to a full-time client-facing role as a partner focused on the real estate, hospitality and construction sectors.

The EY Corporate Finance team provides a wide range of transaction advisory services, including business valuations, capital markets transactions, financial modeling, deal structuring, and advice on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and partnerships, to help companies make decisions about their corporate strategies.・We provide services. .

The move comes as EY seeks to replace its previous corporate finance leadership in the EMEA region.
