In 2023, Fazer Experience Visitor Center broke the all-time visitor record of 238,000 visitors. At the same time, customer satisfaction with the visitor center also reached an all-time high. This Finnish desire for experience and recreation is reflected in the feedback from travelers who visit this versatile destination in Vaala, Vantaa. Visitors were particularly pleased with the personal service and highly recommend Fazer as a place to visit. Due to the continued renovation of the Visitor Center, new record numbers of visitors are expected this year.
The Visitor Center offers a unique experience with multimedia exhibits, a Fazer Café, a shop, conference services, and a variety of events including a cooking school and children’s birthday parties.
The Fazer Experience Visitor Center opened in 2016, and by spring 2024, the total number of visitors to date will reach 1.5 million. Fazer has welcomed visitors to his facility for over 60 years.
A Fazer-guided exhibition tour is an engaging experience
At the center of the visitor center is an exhibit tour, where guides take visitors on a one-hour tour of Faza’s checkered history and the food value chain, how grain travels from the fields to the mill. (e.g. whether it will be transported to a bakery). Transforms into bread.
“Our exhibition tours are always led by guides who, so to speak, bring the exhibits on tour to life. “We know how to make the Moomins mysterious in the pictures,” says Anu Kokko, director of the Father Experience Visitor Center. “Young people in particular challenge the guides with pointed questions about packaging, provenance, food waste, etc. The best feedback is when we can give them ideas that get them excited.”
Visitors looking for new experiences and time to share
Fazer sees the increase in visitor numbers not as a result of tourism returning to pre-pandemic levels, but rather as a result of the subsequent desire for togetherness.
“Every day, we see a need for corporate clients, organizations, families, and groups of friends to meet in person and do something memorable together. Our chocolate art workshops and chocolate and wine tastings for adults are… It’s a popular activity and way to experience something new,” Cocco continues. “Keeping moving forward requires continued development and creativity, which is why we are constantly investing in new and exciting content and features for our facilities.”

Unique in Finland, the Fazel Experience Visitor Center is a place where you can experience Fazel with all your senses, reflect on the impact of your food choices, and get a glimpse of the exciting future of food.
The exhibition’s main attractions include a tropical indoor garden, a giant mignon bunny, Globe 2030 (Earth seen from the moon), and a circular water display to help you understand how to reduce your carbon footprint and how the circular economy works. Includes herbal walls and more. It works.
The seasons, consumer trends and products at different times of the year, as well as Fazer’s 130+ year history and respect for craftsmanship, are reflected in the visitor center’s overall features, catering and theme. This year marks Fazer Kismet’s 50th anniversary, and you can see the beloved brand’s packaging on display in the visitor center lobby and elsewhere.
Fazer Experience Visitor Center has received Sustainable Travel Finland certification as a symbol of its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism.
