Feargal O’Rourke appointed Chairman of IDA Ireland

Former PwC Managing Partner Feargal O’Rourke was appointed chairman of IDA Irelandreplacing Frank Ryan, who held the role for 10 years.

Mr O’Rourke, 59, worked for PwC Ireland for 37 years and led the firm for eight years. He resigned in October 2023.

While at PwC, Mr. O’Rourke led the firm’s tax practice and was deeply involved in the OECD BEPS process with companies, officials, government agencies and the OECD.

The Ministry of Enterprise also noted the former PwC boss’ experience working with multinational companies, particularly those on the US West Coast with establishments in Ireland and Europe.

The minister added that the chairman and new directors will be appointed through an open competition managed independently by the Public Appointments Service.

Dr. Leesha Daly She previously served as Head of Government Affairs and Policy for Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain in EMEA and J&J Campus Ireland. She assumed her position in 2018. For the previous 10 years, she had been Janssen’s country director.

Dr. Dennis Doyle He currently serves as chair of the UCC Tyndall National Laboratory, which employs 600 researchers, engineers, and support staff, including more than 150 full-time graduate students. He was previously a vice president at Analog Devices and currently serves as a certified executive coach.
