The winners of this year’s UMK (used as the Finnish national final) are: Windows95man’s song “No Rules”. The winner of UMK24 was chosen by Finnish citizens’ votes (75%) and international jury points (25%). Windows95man scored his 313 points and was selected to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malmö in May 2024.
Windows95 man The embodiment of the 90s, he liberates the once timid family man from everyday life. It all started when Teemu Keisteri’s home videos on his YouTube started circulating around the world. One of his was even used in a commercial that aired during NHL games.
In 2013, a DJ gig at Flow Festival brought the character known as Windows95man to life. His artist outfit consists of very cut-off shorts made by a friend of Keisteri’s and his Windows 95 T shirt ordered online. Since then, Windows95man has performed at numerous smaller events, including his performance at the 2022 Helsinki New Year Celebration, his act opening for Kaaliya at Helsinki’s Ice Hall.

Known for his wild and crazy stage performances, many people have seen his character on Youtube videos. It depicts a scene in which all the passengers on a plane lose control in a Darud sandstorm.
On UMK, Windows95man releases his first single “No Rules”. The song’s title refers to the artist’s motto, which appears both in his music and other works of art. In addition to DJ gigs, Keisteri is also a visual artist and is known for his persona “Ukkeli”, an artist who describes a cultural phenomenon.
Henri Pispanen is the singer of No Rules. Keisteri explains that the song’s chorus was so challenging that they had trouble finding a singer with enough technical ability to pull it off. Pispanen was the only one who could raise his voice high enough.

Finland to participate in Eurovision Song Contest
The winner of UMK 24 succeeded Karliyah, who came close to Eurovision Crystal Mike, with an impressive second place and an energetic “Cha Cha Cha”, scoring 376 points in the TV vote, ahead of Sweden with 133 points took the lead. The country ranked second in that poll. However, the 4th place with 150 points from the judges was unsatisfactory.
Finland has been participating in Eurovision since 1961 and has participated a total of 51 times throughout its history. Roadie and his legendary “Hard Rock Hallelujah” achieved only one victory for him, his only top 5 was achieved with that victory, and 6th place is his second best finish in the country. Therefore, it has the least impressive record in the Nordic countries. This historic status was achieved by the Blind Channel in her 2021, and by Marion Luig and her “Tom, Tom, Tom” in 1973.
