Support for Finland’s three most popular political parties remained stable in Eire’s monthly political approval survey released on Thursday.

support for prime minister Peteri OlupoThe center-right National Coalition Party (NCP)’s approval rating rose slightly to 22.9%, while the largest opposition party, the Social Democratic Party,’s approval rating fell by 1.3 percentage points, but remained in second place.

On the other hand, the right-wing Finland Party, which is part of the coalition government, rose in approval ratings and maintained its third place.

The survey commissioned by Ale was conducted by the polling firm Tarousttokims. The company’s research director is Tuomo Turjapointed out that although the survey did not show any major changes compared to last month, the Social Democratic Party’s support rating had fallen by more than 1 percentage point for the second month in a row.

Turja believed that this was because many Social Democratic Party voters were refraining from actively supporting the party and were taking a wait-and-see attitude.

“A large proportion of those who voted for the SDP in the last election are now having second thoughts. This goes a long way to explaining the SDP’s decline,” he told Eire.

Turja also said that while the National Coalition party is clearly in the top spot by holding on to its support base, the Finnish Party’s approval rating seems to have remained fairly stable at 17% for four consecutive months. It pointed out.

Opposition parties’ challenge falls short

The latest Yale Party poll showed that overall support for all government parties increased compared to last month.

The poll currently shows support for the Christian Democrats at 4.1 percent, and Tuomo Turja particularly noted the rise of the Swedish People’s Party, which had 3.9 percent support among voters.

“The last result was really poor. We are now close to the 4% level that the Swedish People’s Party usually maintains,” he said.

The opposition centrist party’s approval rating was 10.1%, down 0.4 points from the previous survey.

Turja said the Green Party, like the SDP, was losing support from undecided voters. The Green Party’s approval rating fell to 7.7%.

When voters were polled in December, key issues on the political scene included the situation on the eastern border and the Social Security cuts approved by Congress.

“The government’s message was that Finland’s fiscal situation is fragile and something has to be done. Maybe the government’s message resonated with voters,” Tuomo Turja told Yale. Told.
