Floriscount moves to Denmark

Oldenburg licensed stallion Floris Count moved to Denmark to work as a stallion for the Danish market.

Floris Count is a 19-year-old Oldenburg stallion bred by Florencio from Arkona (out of Donner Hall x Waldorf I x Tin Rocco). He is bred and owned by Count Clemens August von Melbert.

Kimokuri was first certified as a four-year-old horse in the Oldenburg late license in April 2008, and six months later in Hannover.

He took the 70-day stallion proficiency test at Schliekau in the fall of 2008, scoring 128,80 points and coming second out of a group of 39 stallions. He scored 147.49 points in dressage and 97.20 points in show jumping.

He then met the criteria for licensing through the sport.

He first competed in riding tests with breeder Clemens von Melbert in 2008 and was promoted to L level in 2010.

Markus Gribbe then briefly showed the stallion at M level in 2011, before Christophe Koschel rode him in August 2012. He once showed this horse at S level at Ankum. The horse was injured and took some time to recover.

Oliver Orlich took over the ride in October 2013 and rode him in his first CDI at New an St. Joosland in April 2014, winning the Intermediate I. Three weeks later, he competed at the small tour level at CDI Hagen. That year, Erlich campaigned the stallion on the Nürnberger Burgpokal circuit, finishing second in the final in Frankfurt.

Following a three-year hiatus from competition, Floriscount returned to the arena in the summer of 2017 under the direction of Patricia Sedig (née von Melbert) during the development of the Grand Prix level of La Stede. She last showed the horse at Inter II in Ankum in September 2017, which was the last show of the horse’s career. He was 13 years old at the time.

Floris Count is a very popular stallion in Germany. He has produced 21 licensed foals, 12 of which are Stud Book I registered, and 399 daughters registered as broodmares in Germany, of which 108 are State Premium. . He is a dam sire of licensed sires such as Von und Zoo and Danciello.

More than 724 of his descendants are registered for sport in Germany. Of those, 33 of his students compete at his S level.

His most famous descendants are Fanarino (Daniel Bachmann), Freak Darcus (Leila Schmidt), Ferdinand (Kim Pfeiffer), Friends Scout (Nick van Laer), and Tofois Florentina (Anna Gibran). Tseng) etc.

Move to Denmark

Ridehesten reported that the stallion has now moved to Denmark and is in Ib Kirk’s Katrinelund stable.

He was approved in Denmark in 2018 and has already sired 163 offspring in Denmark.
