Posoro Tuirangi is one of a number of players called up to the France squad ahead of their opening Six Nations match against Ireland.
The giant lock, who featured for France Under-20s in last June’s World Cup final victory over Ireland, will train with coach Fabien Galtier’s team at Marcosis’ home base.
Posoro, 19, is the son of former Perpignan No. 8 Henry and nephew of England center Manu.
The second-rower, who stands 6ft 4in and weighs 148kg (23rd place), is a strong athlete whose ball-carrying was a big part of France’s success at U-20 level this season.
France have already lost second-rowers Emmanuel Mehoud and Thibaut Flamand, but Tuilange could feature against Ireland as Paul Boudeant and Sekou Makalu are considered potential partners for Marseille, including Cameron Wouki. gender is low.
Galtier is looking for training coverage after having six players return to the club for this weekend’s Top 14 action, including Toulon full-back Melvin Jaminet.
Jaminet will be joined by Esteban Abadi and Matthias Halagaff, who will return to the Côte d’Azur ahead of the meeting with La Rochelle, while Quatre’s Gaëtan Barlot, Pau’s Emilien Gailleton and Toulouse’s Alexandre Lumas will also be released.
As well as Tuilagui, Theo Attisogbe, Leo Barre, Maxime Beaudonne and Leni Noussi have also been called up to train with the French national team.
