The Irish Football Association has announced two international friendlies for the MNT in June 2024, with Ireland set to host Hungary at the Aviva Stadium before traveling to Portugal.
Ireland are scheduled to face Hungary in Dublin on Tuesday 4th June with a 7.45pm kick-off before traveling to Aveiro to face Portugal on Tuesday 1st June with a 7.45pm kick-off before the MNT Test. It’s going to be done against yourself against the highest quality opposition.
Ireland last faced Hungary in an international friendly in Budapest in June 2021, where Chiedosi Ogbene made his Ireland debut and the result was an interesting 0-0 draw. Portugal came to the Aviva Stadium later that year, but the game ended in a 0-0 draw after a strong display from Ireland in front of a packed home crowd.
Belgium and Switzerland travel to Dublin for the March international friendlies on Saturday 23rd March and Tuesday 26th March respectively, with the full 2024 fixture scheduled for the UEFA Nations League draw tomorrow in Paris, France It is scheduled to be decided. Held at 5pm (6pm local time).
