In March last year, convicted British sex trafficker David Archer arrived in Ireland to start a new life.
The pimp crossed the Irish Sea after serving just six years of a 13-year prison sentence after being convicted in the UK in 2017 of running a multi-million euro rogue ring.
Mr Archer, from Glasgow, was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a number of women who he trafficked into the UK and forced to work as prostitutes in five brothels across London.
Investigators also suspect Archer drugged and sexually assaulted some of the victims.
He has been classified as posing a “serious threat to women”.
At the time of his arrest in the UK, police estimated that Archer had an annual income of more than €2 million and had amassed a fortune of €18 million over several years.
Archer, who confronted the Irish Independent on a busy street in Dublin last summer, has gone underground, where he has remained ever since.
Archer, who has a bench warrant for violating the Sex Offenders Act, resurfaced under a new name as a handyman who frequented the homes of innocent people.
