Florida State’s 2024 football schedule, announced Wednesday, is shaping up to be the most interesting in program history. The Seminoles open in Ireland against the Fighting Irish, the first ACC opponent for new members Cal and SMU.

Part of FSU’s schedule has been known for years, starting with an Aug. 24 game in Ireland against Georgia Tech. The Seminoles agreed to an International Week 0 contest to provide more exposure and add additional open days later in the season. With Georgia Tech designated as the home team, FSU won’t give up Doak’s game at Campbell Stadium.

The Seminoles will travel to Notre Dame on Nov. 9. FSU hasn’t won there since 2003. FSU’s nonconference schedule also includes a home game against Memphis (coach Mike Norvell’s alma mater) on Sept. 14 and a traditional final game against the Gators.

The conference headliners are still Clemson and Miami, with both games taking place in October. FSU will host the Tigers on Oct. 5 and play in Miami on Oct. 26.

FSU will host California in the Golden Bears’ ACC opener on Sept. 21. The following week, the Nodes head to SMU for their conference debut. Both teams are in the ACC this season, with Cal coming from the Pac-12 and SMU from the AAC.
