EA SPORTS FC™ has announced the nominees for the coveted Team of the Year (TOTY) award, showcasing more than 140 of the best male and female soccer players of 2023.
For the first time in TOTY history, the awards include a Women’s Team of the Year XI, providing a platform to celebrate the talent of female players in the sport.
The women’s category spotlights notable talent including Ireland international Katie McCabe, Chelsea striker Sam Kerr, Atletico Madrid midfielder Lacey Santos and Olympique Lyon’s Selma Basha.
The men’s nominees are just as prestigious, with EA SPORTS FC 24 cover star Erling Haaland and Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min among the top names.
Fans will have the opportunity to influence these prestigious awards by voting, with voting opening on January 8th at 8am PT, 4pm GMT, 5pm CET it was done.
You can vote here for the men’s TOTY XI and here for the women’s TOTY XI, with the voting period ending on January 14th.
TOTY finalists will be announced on January 19th for EA SPORTS FC 24 and January 25th for EA SPORTS FC Mobile Games.
In addition, CBS Sports’ UEFA Champions League Today studio team, featuring Kate Abdo, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and guest analyst Alex Scott, hosted a kick-off show to discuss the selection of the TOTY XI.
