Kevin Hart’s new film Lift, shot primarily in Northern Ireland, has been released on Netflix.
The American comedian spent several months last year based at the Culloden Hotel on the outskirts of Belfast.
During his stay, he played a number of gigs in the city at Limelight and Raberry’s, some of which were surprises.
The Rift is the second Netflix film to be filmed in Northern Ireland, following 2021’s The Good and the Bad.
Filmed at Harbor Studios and across Northern Ireland with support from Northern Ireland Screen.
Ulster University, the Titanic Hotel, Belfast’s Crown Liquor Saloon and Riddell’s Warehouse, Castle Ward near Strangford, Shackleton Barracks in Ballykelly, Ward Park in Bangor, Whitehead Railway Station, Ardglass Port, etc. is where it was used.
Directed by F. Gary Gray, Rift follows an international group of robbers led by Cyrus Whittaker, played by Kevin Hart, who steal $500m (£393m) from an airliner before it falls into the wrong hands. It depicts him trying to do so.

Last year, the UK Government announced that since 2018, film production in Northern Ireland has directly contributed more than £330 million to the local economy.
