Lee Carsley is currently the bookmakers’ favorite to replace Stephen Kenny as Ireland manager.
The former Ireland international midfielder is backed by BetVictor from April 1 to September 4 to take over the Boys in Green.
Carsley is currently the England Under-21s manager and led them to glory at last summer’s European Championships.

It remains to be seen whether he will be attracted to the chance to take over the senior national team.
Ghana manager Chris Hughton’s odds have also been significantly reduced from 8/1 to 7/2, leaving the former Ireland international in second place behind Carsley.
Meanwhile, the odds of former Celtic manager Lennon becoming Ireland’s new manager have changed from 9/4 to 5/1.
BetVictor’s Sam Boswell said: “The Republic of Ireland are looking to hire a new manager for their next international fixture in March, and competition for the role continues to intensify given recent market movements.
“Lee Carsley’s stock as a manager has never been higher since winning the European Under-21 Championship with England last summer, and with the odds down from 4/1 to 9/4, he is the favorite for the Ireland squad. He has become the new top candidate.”
“Ghana manager Chris Hughton, who is hoping to lead his team to African Cup of Nations glory in the coming weeks, has been placed at the top of the market and currently sits behind Carsley at 7/2. However, former Celtic boss Neil Lennon escaped on 5/1.
